Yapifying is a speaking practice app. We collect as little as we can. There are no accounts and no sign-up, and we do not sell data.
What stays on your device
- Your streak, stars, history and chosen genres are saved in your browser (local storage). We cannot see them. Clearing your browser data removes them.
- Your theme choice (light or dark) is saved the same way.
- A random anonymous ID, used only for the product counts described below.
- If you turn on recording, your microphone or camera is used only after your browser asks you. The recording is kept on your device. It is not uploaded to us.
What we collect
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies and does not follow you across sites or build a profile of you. It reports totals such as page views, country, device type, browser and the page you came from. Cloudflare may process your IP address to deliver the page and produce these totals.
If you contact us by email, we keep your message and address so we can reply.
We also count what people do in the app, such as drawing a topic, starting a talk, finishing a talk, sharing, or downloading a study PDF. For this, your browser makes a random ID for itself and stores it in local storage. We save that random ID with the event, the topic, the practice mode, how long you spoke, and your country (worked out from your connection). We do not save your IP address, your name, your email, your recordings or anything you type. We use this only to understand whether the app helps people practise and to improve it. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, we send no events at all. You can also clear this site's data in your browser to reset the ID.
Cookies
Yapifying does not set cookies of its own. Because of that, we do not show a cookie banner.
Who handles data for us
The site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. Email to hello@yapifying.com is forwarded to our inbox through Cloudflare Email Routing and Gmail. We do not share your data with anyone else.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and laws such as the GDPR (for visitors in the EU and UK), you can ask what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and complain about how it is handled. Since almost everything stays on your device, you can remove most of it yourself by clearing this site's data in your browser. For anything we hold, email us and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
Yapifying is meant for people aged 13 and over. If you are under 18, please use it with a parent or guardian's awareness.
Changes
If we add accounts, payments or other tracking, we will update this page before it goes live and change the date above.
